the dining room

The dining room at Thornton’s enjoys wonderful views of St Stephen’s Green. Warm and inviting the room is modern and stylish having been refurbished by the renowned New York based 1100 Architects. Kevin’s skill as a photographer is evident from the huge framed pieces taken from his book – Food for Life that adorn the walls. These photographs provide an evocative backdrop to the exquisite array of dishes on offer. Choose from a selection of menus; perhaps an 8 course surprise menu devised for your table or from our Dinner Menu. Hugely popular is our tasting menu – a tantalising selection of 8 courses from which 5 or the full 8 can be chosen. Lunch menus at Thornton’s start from €25.

Daniela Sterzinger is your hostess and Sebastian, the Restaurant Manager manages a professional, friendly and totally dedicated team who assure you of their best attention.

Open Tuesday to Saturday from 6pm to 9.30pm and for lunch from Thursday through Saturday from 12.30pm to 1.30pm. Pre-theatre menu available Tuesday through Saturday from 6pm.
